Bucks County World Language Academy is looking for Spanish head and assistant teachers for a 2019-20 school year assignment (early September to early June).

Job at a glance:

·     Location: Yardley, PA

·     3 three days per week, one hour per day (8-9 am)

·     Students range from grades 1 to 5  

·     Maximum 12 students per class

·     Native speakers or near-native speakers required 

·     Experience teaching the subject is preferred, but not required

·     PDE Background check required

·     Head teacher $57/hour & Assistant teacher $27/hour

Job description:

Head teacher

The teacher prepares daily lessons based on BCWLA curriculum framework, provides instruction in Spanish, collaborates with the teacher assistant, and monitors students’ progress on a monthly basis. The teacher also interacts, and communicates as necessary, with parents.

Assistant teacher

Assistant teacher aids Head teacher in activities, monitoring students’ behavior and progress, participating in lesson as needed, standing in for teacher, if required.
