Academic Scholarships / Becas Académicas

In 2012, Sociedad Hispana Doylestown began offering scholarships to high school seniors who demonstrate a strong interest in the language and cultures of Spanish-speaking countries.  

Beginning in 2021, the scholarship will be not be given to a high school student but instead will be presented to a first year student at Bucks County Community College to assist with tuition.

Thank you to all of our SHD members and sponsors who make it possible for us to offer scholarships to local students every year!

SAMANTHA, A 5TH GRADER AT LINDEN SCHOOL IN DOYLESTOWN, WILL USE THIS SCHOLARSHIP TO ATTEND THE BUCKS COUNTY WORLD LANGUAGE ACADEMY SPANISH LANGUAGE COURSE 3 DAYS PER WEEK FOR THE 2013-2014 SCHOOL YEAR.  ACCORDING TO SAMANTHA SHE IS LOOKING FORWARD TO JOINING THE CONVERSATION OF PROSPECTIVE ARGENTINE FAMILY MEMBERS  AT MEALTIME, AND WE ARE CERTAIN SHE WILL MAKE FULL USE OF THIS OPPORTUNITY.
