Bilingual Workforce Outreach Counselor 

Do you have a passion for making a difference in someone’s life? Then the Workforce Outreach Counselor position is for you! We are seeking a dynamic, team-oriented and caring individual to join our spirited team.
The Workforce Outreach Counselor will meet with participants from shelters and subsidized housing at a public meeting location. The Workforce Outreach Counselor will enroll the participants into WIOA Title I Services, assist in job readiness activities such as resume and interviewing preparation, coordinate with the Business Services Team to identify appropriate employer referrals and match individuals with employment. Due to the dynamics of working with individuals, this position necessitates an individual who is comfortable working in an environment that is constantly evolving. This position requires an organized individual who can efficiently handle several responsibilities simultaneously.
Successful Elements:
• Provide the individual support that participants need to overcome barriers and reach educational and employment goals
• Partner with local businesses and organizations to match employment opportunities with participants
• Coordinate with other organizations and schools for participant training
• Offer appropriate support services and coordinate with community partners
• Provide linkages and established referral systems with community services and resources
• Offer appropriate support services as the need arises
• Prepare and lead employment workshops and/or individual career counseling in order to help participants address barriers to employment
• Monitor participant progress by contacting them at least bimonthly/monthly in order to ensure successful employment and training outcomes
• Offer follow-up support services in order to help participants retain employment or educational goals to ensure that performance measures are met
• Assist in the outreach and recruitment of new participants
• Complete intake assessments with all interested participants, including the assessment of motivation, commitment and basic skills levels
• Maintain data on employment, education, retention and other performance measures
 Required Experience:
• Ability to travel throughout Bucks County
• Ability to prioritize tasks and document visits and contacts.
• Ability to maintain flexibility as needs of contract or contractor require.
• College degree or equivalent experience required.
• Bilingual (Spanish) skills required
• Valid Driver’s License and an automobile are required
