2019 Scholarship Reception

On Thursday, May 2, 2019 Sociedad Hispana Doylestown held it's annual scholarship awards reception at the Doylestown Country Club honoring 9 high school seniors from Bucks and Montgomery counties. This year's Spanish language scholarships totaled $9,000 with a grand total of $40,000 awarded by SHD since 2012!

This year's recipients include:

Jocelyn Beth Sylvia Tripoli from Pennridge High School

Katerina Hernandez from Quakertown Community High School

Alexander Tiburcio from William Tennant High School  

Nicole Loza from Council Rock High School South

Maria Leslie Ruiz from Harry S. Truman High School

Sophia Broadhurst North Penn High School

Melina Calarco from North Penn High School 

Thank you to the 2019 Scholarship Committee headed by Daisy Rodríguez-Kelly for all the countless hours in making these awards happen. Also a thank you to all the judges and others who volunteered their time in evaluating the students in their written and oral evaluations and assisting that process back in April.
