La economía peruana ha mejorada bastante durante los últimos años, con crecimiento mas alto que la mayoría de los otros países. Por lo tanto el país se encuentra en una elección presidencial en que los candidatos representan puntos de vista bien diferentes en términos económicos. Ojalá que el crecimiento de la economía siga, por que los pobres han realizado aumentos en sus recursos recientemente. Si mal no recuerdo, en las décadas anteriores, los pobres no participaron en el crecimiento de la economía.
El enlace muestra la gran capacidad turístico peruano. Un día visitaremos Puno, Lago Titicaca, Cuzco y por supuesto Machu Picchu.
The current Peruvian elections bring focus on the country- a country whose economy has grown rapidly in recent years. In prior boom times those of lesser means seldom participated when the economy grew. The last few years have seen a marked change, where many more Peruvians have shared as the economy has grown. Whoever wins the election should take note of this, when and if a change of course is being decided.
The official Peruvian website linked above offers a glimpse into the many tourist attractions of interest to travelers. It makes me want to read more about Hiram Bingham's life (Machu Picchu discoverer), and what he must have thought when first laying eyes on Machu Picchu, just after the turn of the 19th century. Puno and lake Titicaca seem well worth a visit, along with many other places in Perú.
