This morning's Wall Street Journal has a lengthy article on the back page of the Friday section.
For aficionados of the "Classico" discussion writer Matthew Futterman has authored the article which includes a discussion of the money surrounding Real Madrid history. Unfortunately, as the article points out, it may not be all about money as many think Barcelona is the best team in the world, without spending levels associated with Real Madrid. I am not sure, however, I buy the critical view of Real Coach Mourinho advanced by the author (quoting others) wherein Mourinho style is ruining the beautiful game. It occurs to me the point is to win, and whether a coach is advancing the "art" of the game seems of secondary interest. Is Mourinho destroying soccer?
