Action for Kindness Day!

 "April 26, 2017, is Action for Kindness Day! It is an invitation to ALL to take action for kindness in your  family, school or community. Kindness is not passive. It means having empathy, being an upstander, working for justice, respecting and celebrating differences, and building positive relationships with others! 

To decide what to do on Action for Kindness Day, ask yourself these questions: What/who am I grateful for? What am I passionate about? What are my hopes for my family, classroom, community, or the world? Then do what you feel genuinely motivated to do, based on your gratitude, passions, or hopes. As Gandhi famously said, you must "be the change you wish to see in the world!" Share your action with others (#actionforkindness) so that we can celebrate everyone's kind acts!

Connect here to access resources that will help you get started. You are also invited to attend a free talk, "Raising Kind Kids" at the Doylestown Bookshop at 6:30 pm. Christa Tinari, Bucks County resident, and founder of PeacePraxis, will provide tips on fostering kindness. She will also be signing her new book, "Create a Culture of Kindness in Middle School: 48 Character Building Lessons to Foster Respect and Prevent Bullying."
