Arrollado de Dulce de Leche


"Arrollado" is an Uruguayan delicacy. Here we present a fresh version, which can be filled with milk caramel (dulce de leche) or any other sweet. There are also variations of the dish recipes for salt: you will be using the filling of tuna, chicken, corn, etc.

Amounts
5 tablespoons of sugar
5 tablespoons of all purpose flour
5 eggs
5 tablespoons water
1 dash of baking powder
Filling:
dulce de leche (csp)

Beat the egg whites until stiff.
Add egg yolks, sugar, water and beat well.
Add flour,baking powder and fold in gently.
Pour the cake mixture on a tray lined with oven paper.
Bake the cake in preheated oven 350 deg. F for 20 minutes or until golden brown (cooked).
Remove the cake from the tray, but don't remove the baking paper.
Spread the filling on the cake and roll it up like a Swiss roll. Note: Remove the baking paper gently when rolling it up.
Sprinkle the roll with sugar and serve.
Roll up the cake still warm, otherwise it can break.
